Hope in a time of crisis for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

Churches and local Christians across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are working together to bring hope to their neighbourhoods during the Coronavirus crisis.  With many others we are calling the vulnerable, supporting the bereaved or sad, checking in with neighbours, helping with foodbanks and food for the homeless… and of course, we are praying.

This site brings together information and resources for local Christians… plus information on services and ways that you can find out more about Jesus and Christianity.  More will be added as we go along – if you have ideas for what would be useful, go to the contact form.

Some churches have asked “How can we help best in this crisis?”

  • Please keep supporting your local foodbank with food donations (info here on Bournemouth, Kinson and Poole, Southbourne and Christchurch foodbanks)
  • Please support your local neighbourhood and those who connect into activities at the church (check with BCP Council website to see who else is helping in your area)
  • Please pray for national and local leaders to have God’s wisdom, and for those at the front line to have hope and peace (click here for names to pray for and key prayer points)

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3 in the New Testament)
