Where can I find help?

So many groups have come together across the whole conurbation to help those who are most vulnerable at this time of crisis. Here are some helpful links:

The BCP Council have brought together a lot of information on their website under the banner of “Together We Can”. This includes details of the community response helpline 0300 123 7052 (9am-5pm Monday to Friday) for people in vital need of food and essential household items> or other help. It also has a whole range of information for those facing bereavement, domestic abuse and in need of food.

Giving help

One of the best ways you can help at this time is to donate goods to your local foodbank – please add items into the collection points at your nearest supermarket when you go

You can also help with food and toiletries for ex-rough sleepers who are now in temporary accommodation. We especially need:

  • Men’s and women’s toiletries: bars of soap, shower gel, shampoo (normal), deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary products
  • Ready meals (not frozen)

Please drop them at the Storehouse (St Johns church hall, Surrey Road, BH12 1EG) between 8.30 and 10.30 each morning if you can do so safely, or call Mikey our warehouse/van lead on 07861 793673
